When my wife and I moved into our home in 2000, we inherited an older, off-brand pool with a deck and permanent fencing built around it. After a year or two, it was time for it to be taken down and replaced – I just wasn’t comfortable with it being safe. In 2003, we replaced it with a Doughboy (Pearl Wave), which I have great confidence in given Doughboy’s track record, reputation for quality, and company longevity. It has provided my wife and our twins with hours upon hours of fun, exercise, and activity these past summers, not too mention other friends and family members during summer get-togethers. My biggest enjoyment is seeing the confidence, self-esteem, and “healthy habits of physical activity” that swimming provides grow and take hold in the twins. Given the current rate of declining health amongst all our current generations – 1 in 2 kids are projected to be obese by year 2010 – physical activity and proper nutrition are habits that are critically important. It’s all right there for us, happening in our backyard. It’s just a great amount of fun overall, one of my best investments

Putting a Doughboy Pool in my yard was the best thing I could have done for my children. I have just finished installing my 28′ doughboy pool. With the exception of some major landscaping, leveling, etc., my sons (13 & 14) and I did all the work. It was easier than I expected, the tolerances are fantastic, the design simple and well thought out, and I can’t wait to jump in (it’s still a little cold up here on Long Island). Your product so far has been great. Nice to see competitively priced superior products made in the USA!!!

Just a fast note to let you folks know what a wonderful job Sharon in your Customer Care area is doing. We purchased a home this summer that has a backyard pool made by Doughboy. Unfortunately the seller did not leave any manuals or books on care, maintenance, and most importantly, winterization. Sharon took my call today and effortlessly walked me through some questions I had and was kind enough to fax some winterization and care directions. I just want to let you know that we’ve had a Doughboy pool, 16 X 40 with an 8 ft deep end, for 22 years. This pool amazingly has held up for all those years without replacing the liner or any other major problems. Sure there have been minor equipment problems, but that’s expected. We continue to enjoy this pool not only today but years to come.

Dear Sir/Ms,

Kudos to the outstanding quality and long lasting durability of our Doughboy pool! We can attest to that.

My husband and friends installed a 24 ft round pool in 1973. This past winter we noticed the water level slowly going down, and knew there was a leak in our 42 year old “original” liner. It was a sad decision to take the pool down, but our 4 grown children and grandchildren were no longer using it. Also nearby trees have grown so much, blocking sunlight to the pool a good portion of the day.

When we drained the pool and removed the liner, to our amazement we found the original Doughboy logo on it. We haven’t yet taken down the steel frame, but it is as sturdy and solid as when installed.

Thank you Doughboy for our 42 year old long lasting and enjoyable product!!
