Mechanical shaft seal prevents water from migrating along the pump shaft into the motor, protecting against premature motor failure
5/8" sizing fits standard PowerLine pump shaft diameters — a common wear item that should be replaced any time the pump is opened for service
Replacing a worn seal at first sign of leakage prevents significantly more costly motor damage
